Become a CanSkate Program Assistant (PA)
Become a CanSkate Program Assistant (PA)
Give back to the club, mentor young skaters, or earn mandatory high school volunteer hours — all with free training provided. High schoolers welcome.
Required:
STAR 3+ skaters: PA commitment required (15–20 hrs/season)
STAR 2 skaters: encouraged to apply
Minimum age 11, basic skating skills (STAR 3 level)
Current/former figure skaters, or hockey/ringette/speed skating athletes welcome
On the ice, PAs:
Lead warm-ups, circuits, and group activities
Demonstrate skills and set up stations
Encourage and assist young skaters
Help track attendance and skills
(PAs assist coaches — they don't provide formal instruction or assessments.)

Almost 25% of the operating costs of STAR Skate are covered by funds raised through the OLG Charitable Bingo & Gaming (cGaming) Program in partnership with Delta Bingo and Gaming, Val Caron!
You can help keep our skating programs affordable by working just a few volunteer shifts a year. No experience is required, and your time directly supports your skaters.

Delta Bingo Program
Delta Bingo is our largest fundraiser, made possible by volunteers. For each 2.5 hour block of time you volunteer at bingo for CCSC, you will earn back $20 credit in next season fees.
