Registration for September is open!
Because we are a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, we rely heavily on the hands-on support of our community to keep registration fees affordable and our programs running smoothly.
To help distribute the workload evenly across all of our families, we ask each registered family to contribute a target of 6 volunteer hours over the course of the 2026–2027 season.
We completely understand that every family's schedule and personal circumstances are different. If committing to these hours is a barrier for your family this season, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@coppercliffskatingclub.com. We are happy to work together to find a flexible solution that fits your family's situation.
There are many fun, low-stress, and rewarding ways to help support our skaters throughout the year including Events, and CanSkate. Check out our 2026-2027 handbook to learn more.
Make a difference on the ice! Whether you want to give back to the community or earn mandatory High School volunteer hours, the Copper Cliff Skating Club (CCSC) provides the training and support you need to succeed. High school students welcome!
All STAR 3 and above skaters are expected to commit to CanSkate Program Assistance in a scheduled Canskate program for the 2026–2027 season (15-20 hours). STAR 2 skaters are also encouraged to become PAs!
We welcome enthusiastic individuals (suggested minimum age 11) who possess basic skating skills (e.g., STAR 3 level). We look for:
Current or former figure skaters
Athletes from hockey, ringette, or speed skating
Key Traits: Punctual, patient, energetic team players who lead by example
PAs assist our professional coaches to keep sessions moving and fun. Responsibilities include:
Leading warm-ups, circuits, and group activities
Demonstrating skating skills and setting up stations
Providing encouragement and assistance to young skaters
Helping with attendance and skill tracking
Note: PAs act as demonstrators and helpers; they do not provide formal coaching, instruction, or assessments.
Follow these two steps to get started:
Registration and training will soon be available in our Uplifter registration portal. Stay tuned!

Fundraising is crucial to the ongoing viability and success of the Club and plays a VERY important role in the membership of a not-for-profit organization. To offset rising facilities costs, we must fundraise throughout the season.
As a non-profit organization, we work hard to keep registration fees as reasonable as possible. To support this, CCSC charges a baseline fundraising fee upfront, giving your family full control over how you earn that money back:
Fundraising Earn-Back (50% Return): STARSkate families can participate in club fundraisers throughout the season—such as our D&A meat, Nickel City Cheese, Trivia Night, and Wingo Bingo events. Most fundraising events return 50% of the profits back to you as a direct credit toward your next skating season! (Note: Skate Ontario Lotto Books return cash directly to you as you sell them).
FlipGive (Passive Fundraising): You can also earn credits effortlessly through everyday shopping! By using the FlipGive app for groceries, gas, dining, and online shopping, a percentage of your purchases goes directly toward earning back your fundraising credits. Join our CCSC team on FlipGive
Delta Bingo Volunteering: Delta Bingo is one of our most generous community supporters. Families can earn a $20.00 credit per volunteer shift worked at Delta Bingo to help offset their fees.
CanSkate Program Assistant (PA) Credits: STAR skaters who complete the CanSkate PA training course and assist on the ice during our CanSkate, Pre-CanSkate, and Parent & Tots programs can earn incremental credits awarded by our Head Coach! It’s a wonderful way for our skaters to build leadership skills while earning credits. Learn More.
Delta Bingo is our largest fundraiser, made possible by volunteers. For each 2.5 hour block of time you volunteer at bingo for CCSC, you will earn back $20 credit in next year's fees.
