Kid/CanSkate
CanSkate is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, designed for beginners of all ages. When you sign up for CanSkate you will be in a program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. You will earn badges and other incentives as you learn fundamental skating skills. Lessons are given in a group format and led by an NCCP certified professional coach
ADULT SYNCHRONIZED SKATING
Synchronized skating, or "synchro" is a specialized discipline of skating involving groups of eight or more skaters performing various group formations and maneuvers. The objective is for the team to perform as one unit executing circles, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections in unison to the music, while demonstrating quality edges, power and flow. Skaters must be over age 18 and have previous figure skating training.
Star 1-Gold
STARSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives.
EDGES AND TURNS
Edges and turns is a drill based program that specializes in developing Star Skaters use of their skate blade edges and quick turns and stops. This program runs Saturdays at Countryside and is open to ALL skaters from ALL clubs. It is encouraged for all Star Skaters Star 2 and up.
ADULT
Adult sessions are available for those who wish to stay healthy or for those who wish to compete in the Adult categories within Skate Ontario. Adults are considered those 18 and up
